You have to put in the time, but judgment is more important. The direction you’re heading in matters more than how fast you move.
It’s only after you’re bored you have great ideas, it’s never going to be when you’re stressed, busy, running around, or rushed. Make the time.
Don’t criticize the person, but criticize the general approach; always try and find the person who is best example of what you’re praising and praise the person, specifically

To make and original contribution, you have to be irrationally obsessed with something
If there’s something you want to do later, do it now. There is no ‘later’.
Read everything you can, try everything, test it for yourself, be skeptical, keep what’s useful, and discard what’s not.
